today is the DAY.
since i am a bit ill and can't do my regular work, today i feel a bit better, so i decided to do irregular maintenance of my keyboards, i also take on keyboard of my friends for same task.
currently i am working on WASD keyboard v3 - this is simple fullsize keyboard which can be ordered with various switches installed, i wanted cherry mx green, so wasd is the only option of not assemble by hands.
as for second keyboard, it's shittech (logitech) g710+, shipped with cherry mx brown and shitty placeholder on place of keycaps, i bought it only to learn two things:
1. logitech quality now-days is shit
2. cherry mx brown is a way too soft for me.
so i gifted it to my friends with stock keycaps placeholders. note what few keys cracked during first few weeks of regular usage.
i have threw away most of shittech stock keycaps which are shattered, cracked and otherwise completely broken, but for some reason i kept few which are still a bit usable, so i can show photos:
to be fair i must say what stock WASD keycaps are also made from shity abs, and died during first year of regular usage, just look at them:
this shittech g710+ keyboard was also shipped to me today, and few cheap (and not so cheap) keycaps set's delivered from china, all new keycaps must be made from durable pbt plastic, at least this was promised by stores.
so today tasks is:
1. remove old keycaps.
2. remove shit, trash and new life forms from keyboards.
3. install new keycaps.
trivial enough tasks, but i am still a bit sick, also few surprises happened in the process, for example shittech g710+ have non standard extra large spacebar, so i kept original keycap for this.
so it took much more time than expected.
