i have already wrote about shitty keycaps provided by shittech on their premium class products some time ago here: https://hubzilla.dark-alexandr.net/display/b64.aHR0cHM6Ly9odWJ6aWxsYS5kYXJrLWFsZXhhbmRyLm5ldC9pdGVtL2EwNzFmMDFiLTNmYTEtNGUzMS1hNTRkLTc0NGU4NmZhMjBiOQ
today i want to write about overall design and quality of shittech premium products, i have disassembled same logitech g710+ keyboard ( https://www.trustedreviews.com/reviews/logitech-g710 https://www.tomsguide.com/us/logitech-g710-plus,review-2241.html
) and see a lot of horror, it even looks like what they not just accidentally used cheapest components, but do this on purpose, which is unlikely of course.
first of all, switch holding plate have no screws, stubs or any other things to hold pcb, pcb is simply hanging on the switches which is not good at all from my point of view, even cheapest chinese noname boards have special stubs to screw pcb or at least peaces of metal which hold pcb on their switch holding plates if board is not designed for maintenance.
second, diodes, for some strange reason they used rusting diodes without any protection against rust in place which will have liquids and air for sure.
so from this small piece of shit, rust have spreader across whole keyboard internals, switches, pcb and everything ales is affected:
case itself made from some low quality abs plastic and fastened with rusting screws straight into plastic itself, which is also not very reliable at least.
some time ago i have wrote article about my experience with chines mechanical keyboards here: https://hubzilla.dark-alexandr.net/articles/sss/15f39a44-6614-4b83-98cb-7990ef39df98
and i said what melody96 have bad case design, but comparable to this shittech shit, melody96 is flawless ), also have comparable price (very expensive)
ah, nearly forget to say, i cleaned it up and reassembled with new switches WHITHOUT shitty diodes and with gooed keycaps:
